Enchanted – Maturing

Surprising him, she bent down and directly placed her lips on his. Maan did not miss the chance to quickly get hold of her nape in one of his palms, bringing her closer by his other hand on her waist and pushing his tongue between her lips, and inside her mouth and rolling it all over and then sucking her soft lips. After the long leisure kiss, their eyes met, a smile was back on their face. He kept looking at her and then without a hint moved his hand on her waist to place a slight slap on her butt cheek. Her eyes widened “Just a month” he winked making her further turn away shyly. Her heart beat increased every time with how open he was in showing his wishes to her. 

“I am sorry” She pouted

“I made you wait for so long”

“Don’t worry, I will make you pay” He said casually shifting better on her lap

“You are scaring me. What have you planned?” She pouted and he simply winked with smile on his face.

“I could never imagine this version of you even exist” she said moving her hand from his face to her neck, feeling his skin, rubbing her fingers on the upper part of his chest.

He looked at the stars laying on her lap while she kept softly rubbing her hand on his chest.“I was a very different person when I was a kid. I loved learning things, enjoying life and taking life with positivity. But everything changed and my world changed after the accident. 

I was heartbroken and lost. Vicky was ten and Annie just five. 

Dadima, with a heavy heart, took the temporary position for a year. She could not become the queen after retiring but was able to and had to take the temporary position. 

”

“Then why did you not throw the culprits outside the mansion”

“I was just seventeen, lost in loneliness and abandonment of our loss. Just seeing Vicky and Annie my heart would bleed. I went mum and lost. And Dadima could not just throw them, she had to already handle things she had left long back. On top, there was no proof. It was very complicated. It would have been chaos and how much could the old broken lady handle. She was just focusing on handling things in control when her own heart was broken.  But then”

“Again something happened?” Geet rubbed her fingers through his hair. He held her hands and brought them to his heart and pressed them even closer. Geet could feel he was taking strength from her

“Dadima soon realized they were trying to overtake the rule”

“How?”

“As I was a minor and Dadima was old. They tried to spread the idea that one of my step uncles should be handed the reign till I am adult. But Dadima knew once they place their hand on the throne, we will lose everything.”

Geet could feel how complicated their life was. From far the luxury of the kingdom seemed so fancy but in real their life had been filled with thorns. her life in real was much more luxurious than his. And now when he has built everything, it was again available for her luxury.

She will be enjoying the luxury, name and power of what has come to him as part of his struggle and pain filled childhood

“Dadima had to pull me out of darkness and then load me with responsibility. She immediately promised that I will be crowned King the day I turned eighteen. It was needed to gain people’s confidence back.

My even rigorous training started. All my freedom to feel pain had to be given. Seeing the challenge Dadima was facing in that old age, I could not back out. Since that day, I kept moving forward to only be loaded with responsibilities. I got so used to it, I got into the habit of taking all responsibilities on my shoulder. My family, Dadima, My younger siblings, Kalsia and people of Kalsia, our business empire all came under the umbrella of my responsibility. I had no option to fail in any. Even when I went to Harvard for my studies, these responsibilities went with me. When all kids explored youth life, I was exploring the business opportunity, not for hobby but necessity to get us strong, even strong. It slowly went into my blood and soul. I became that man. The man who only knows his responsibility and never fails.

I topped in sports, studies or anything that I took, I had to. I had no scope of failure. Again that need to be on top to prove the people of Kalsia became my need. They gave their confidence and I had to keep going on and on to make that belief stronger. 

I had since then Geet, lived for Kalsia, My family, my Palace and my business.” He paused for a long while. She stayed silent with him, sometimes softly threading his hairs from her fingers and then would move her hand to his heart to sooth him there. 

“But this life with you Geet, I want to live this life with you for myself.” He turned on her lap to make his face up. Their eyes met. Geet was lost in his story. She smiled

“Will you be Geet for this Maan.”

“I will, Maan. I will bring back my Maan.” He then got up and they sat there like that quietly, she placing her head on his shoulder and her one hand on his chest.

“Let’s go inside. It’s already above four and we have to be there for Aarti by Six.” he broke the silence.

They walked quietly all the way to the room. Both were lost in their own feelings. Maan felt light after ages. 

They didn’t realize they were so sleepy till they hit the bed and sleep took over.

Raja Sahib and Rani Sahiba, took blessings from Dadima before leaving Kalsia.  Geet then hugged Dadima with full heart, suddenly realizing the tough phase the woman has gone through.

They were seated in the back seat and the partition was pulled from the driver. 

“Why are we traveling from the car? You generally take flight”

“To make the journey long” he smiled at her. Geet slowly moved near him and he wrapped his hand around her from back, pulling her closer

“I will be dropping you directly to your parents. So the long journey will give us some time together”

“Mujhe nahi jana” she made faces

“So Rajji can always place a complaint that I did not let her sister spend time with her before she leaves”

“Sabki fikar hai aapko” she said playing with the buttons of his shirt. She so wanted to be lost in the warmth of his body, for ever and ever.

“So you yourself call her and let her know you cannot be there. Find the reason you want to state.” Geet did not say anything, just placed her head on his front between his shoulder and chest.

She slowly moved her hand up to his face “I know I should be with her but what do I do, I get so less time with you.”

“After our anniversary marriage, I will make sure we get more time together.”

Geet stayed there like that for a long while and Maan’s hand was on her back, moving up and down to calm his and her raging heart. The hearts which were dying to mingle together, from body and soul

“Aur theek bhi hai” he changed the topic

“How?”

“Anyways I can’t do much with you and it’s so hard controlling around you” 

“Sachi?” she looked up at him with smile

“You will soon know” he raised his eyebrows

“Just matter of few days” he smiled, Geet bit her lips

“Don’t do that. These acts of yours keep playing in my mind. You will have to pay for all these that day and going further”

Geet smiled with blush. Maan gave a look at her plum pink soft lips and then looked at her eyes and raised his eyebrows. Geet blushed and nodded for ok again biting her lips. Maan bent down and she lifted herself up. He grabbed the back of her head and tilted her face to align it properly and pressed his lips on hers. She opened the lips, giving him access and he happily explored within it, tasting the juice of her mouth, rolling his tongue with her. Geet pushed her tongue inside his. He pulled her closer and she moved closer. They adjusted to completely align their body better. Geet was almost on his lap, Maan’s one hand supporting her from waist and other on her hip supporting her to be seated on his lap. Kiss lasted for long and long, till they poured their restlessness and thought of being parted again .

As the drive took its turn on various paths, Geet was lost in all the stories that he had told. A sudden fear ran through her. The realization hit her, these people were so dangerous. They had snatched his happiness from him and made his life a struggle. Are they still not dangerous, are they targeting her family, her husband too. She shuddered with the thought

“What are you thinking?”

“Why can we not get rid of these people? Can’t we send them far away?”

“You are scared?” he asked with a smile

“Yes,” she said straight away.

“Geet, my security is way stronger than their imagination. You don’t trust my set up”

“I do but still”

“Okay… don’t worry. I will be fine and everyone will be fine. Now as you are so worried, let me tell you. I am working on the permanent solution to get rid of them”

“Really?” 

“ Yes, but it will take some time to implement. Don’t leak this anywhere”

“No, no never” “Now I don’t want to see lines of worry on your forehead. I just want you to be a bit alert on your talks and acts between people… hmm” She nodded in agreement.

Maan dropped Geet at her parents and left saying “Meet you at Kalsia in the functions. Enjoy with your family till then. Later you won’t get this chance” he gave her a meaningful look which would keep her happy and in his dreamland.

“You could not stay for a few days?” she pouted, knowing very well he could not. He smiled, brought her closer and placed a kiss on her forehead

“Take care and just be Geet” and he left. Geet kept looking till his car left her sight

Rajji appeared from behind “Diiii, you are a complete gone case.” Geet pouted but Rajji hugged her

“Dewani mere Jiju kee”

Geet went inside and hugged everyone one by one.

Geet looked around the house, everywhere the shopping bags were kept, many new clothes spread and many packets were packed

“Mumma, Papaji.. what is all this.”

“Now your husband is giving you a grand marriage in Kalsia. We will also be there for all functions. We also have to do our part” said Rano lovingly cupping her daughter’s face. 

She was so happy that Geet had fallen in love with her husband. It can clearly be seen how much he took care of her. They were so worried for Geet. She was an expert in making a mess of her own life. Thankfully things have fallen well in place

“Mumma, Raja Sahib said you all just need to come and enjoy. They will make all arrangements.”

Rano shook her head “Pagli, they are doing everything but we also have our wishes to bless both of you. They are going to do all the grand things, we are just doing tokens. And we also have to do Rajji’s shopping”

“No!! all her shopping is on me” Geet announced

“Okay, it’s all on you but being parents we cannot sit idle. And Geet” Rano paused

“What Mumma?” Rano made her sit on the chair in dinning area and took next one beside her. She took Geet’s palm in her and pressed it

“Dear, nice that Raja Sahib let you spend it on your family but you should not…” she didn’t know how to explain

Geet moved forward along with her chair and held shoulders of her Mom with confidence

“Mumma.. it’s not like he lets me spend it. We have equal rights on everything and he won’t mind at all. I am not taking anything from Royal earnings, it’s all my husband’s earnings. It’s just ours”

“But still you spending on your family”

“Mumma, will Raja Sahib not spend on his siblings when needed. My siblings and family are also his. He will really be sad if he knows you think this way”

“No we cannot say anything to him, but you have to understand”

“Mumma, you don’t think Raja Sahib is mine.”

“He is but for you. He can spend as much on you. Dear you spend on yourself and enjoy”

“And you all are not mine and his. Fine” Geet turned

“Geet listen”

“Mumma, you don’t know Raja Sahib. He keeps sponsoring people anyways on a regular basis. He earns for people. And Mumma, these amounts are not even a drop from what worth he owns” Geet shied

“And Mumma, this sponsoring of Rajji is his love for family. He is doing it out of love. He has given me this responsibility. If I don’t do it properly, he will question me. Do you want him to question me on the first responsibility that he has assigned me?”

Rano sighed and then smiled “Okay”

“And now no more discussion on this” “Okay, Rani Sahiba Ji” she teased her

“Mumma, you too” she pouted. Rano caressed her cheek.

Geet left from there to her room. Rano kept looking at her daughter. She has matured so much, but in a very positive way. The way she was supporting her thoughts, her husband’s wish and working to fulfill his wishes. When had Rano thought, Geet will fall so much well in her family life, esp. the way she was upset with the marriage. 

She looked up and prayed to her Babaji.

Brij came at the late evening “So our disaster queen, Rani Sahiba of Kalsia arrived” Geet came to him and he hugged her tight

“Veerji, you are so mean” she placed complaint lovingly and pouted

Rajji came with a snack tray that Rano had arranged for everyone. They all settled with tea.

“For sure Raja Sahib needed some time of peace” Commented Brij

“Why”

“He dropped you for a month here”

“He dropped me for Rajji. He was sad leaving me”

“Really?” teased Brij and Rajji together

“Mummaaa” Geet pouted

“Stop teasing her you both” Ranno scolded

“Come Puttar, sit beside me” called Mohinder. Geet showed them her tongue and went to settle beside her Dad. They had some light talk

After dinner they planned for a little walk in the society garden. 

“Rajji, I am too tired today. Came in drive from Kalsia, my body is aching”

Next day Geet went to college and promised Rajji that they would go shopping for her in the evening.
