Enchanted – Start of New Life

They reached the premise of the Palace. The red carpet with flowers was decorated to welcome Raja Saheb and his Rani Sahiba. Others have reached before using flight and Car but these two came with the car. Dadima had wanted them to spend some time together. But it was of no use. Raja Saheb, made sure to give her space and Geet getting whole seat at the back of luxury car, the soothing comfort of drive and her tiredness, she had drifted to sleep.

She woke up only after they had reached Kalsia. She saw outside the window. The city looked beautiful. It was much traditional than her Delhi and though some girls were in jeans and top too but mostly they were in traditional dresses but the feel was so positive. Their car was though followed by two cars and even ahead of them there were two cars. All for security purpose. Geet could not understand. 5 cars were on road for these two. People waved from far. And Raja Saheb elegantly waved at his people.

They reached the palace. Geet tried to open her gate continuously and it was not opening

“Can you hold on for a while” she first time heard his strong voice talking to her. It definitely did have its effect on her as if it directly reached her somewhere.

But her mind would never accept “Ohh showing me his Royal authority.”

But soon a man dressed in traditional dress came and opened the gate for her. He bowed down, she gave smile not knowing what to do. Then there came line of ladies in colorful traditional dressing. They welcomed the married couple, Geet was taken ahead with ladies when a small boy of one of the ladies ran and went to Raja Saheb. His mother got worried and scared but he signaled her to let it be.

Geet heard his voice from behind her “So did you pass the exam. You promised me” but she could not focus much on voice as she was surrounded by ladies of common people, who all wanted to take glimpse of Rani Sahiba and were allowed free watch for once. They all looked at her face, adored her, gave her blessings, joined their hands. It was all so different for Geet. She felt bit awkward, not knowing how to handle. But here no one will judge her. She will be right in all ways, she was bride of their Raja Saheb, their new Rani Sahiba. Whole city was happy to have Rani Sahiba after so many years. After Raja Saheb’s parents left them orphan by leaving the world in an accident, they have been waiting for their current Raja Saheb to grow up and then agreeing to marry, for them to get their Rani Sahiba. They felt their city was back alive in complete sense now.

“Pass nahi awal aaya hoon. Mera inaam?”

“Inaam aapko mil jayega” and he let the boy go.

She heard, he was very soft to boy. The maturity in his words made her feel like she was married to some ‘To much mature types’. So much maturity and calmness – ohh she was completely opposite. She made her own image of him and in her assumptions decided her life have been handed to some typical boring type of oldie person. No fun in life “My life is ruined”.  There would be no chirpiness and fun around him.

Later, public were asked to go. They entered the palace. Raja Saheb left to check on other important stuff while Geetanjali was left with ladies. Annie and viccky simply hover around Geetanjali Bhabhi. Geet could not believe, the man she had her eye candy crush was roaming around her for her welcome. She would ask for smallest of things and Vikrant Khurana was at her service with all respect. But she was surprised on her own self, as her own vision towards him has changed since marriage talk has initiated. All her focus has been gone to showing her irk on Raja Saheb.

There were many other family members but they were kept bit far or they themselves where bit far. No, some wanted to interfere and mingle with her, but Annie, Vikrant Khurana and Dadima did all. Helpers definitely were there.

Dadima later went to Raja Saheb – “Thanks Dadima, for getting all my pictures out”

“This was not needed beta.”

“It was Dadima. She does not want to see me till she is comfortable with this marriage. How can I force her other way”?

“But still, I will say just ask once directly today. Maybe she has changed her view and is hesitant to say. You have married her and brought her in complete new environment. It’s your duty to at least ask her once. Try from your side.”

“Ok Dadima, will talk to her once. Whatever she decides on that front will be final then. But on other side, please explain her the one-month condition that I have placed, she has no option to not take it. One moth she has to give life to this palace and place, rest after, it will be her life but my security over her. No compromise on these two things.”

It was night, Geet was too tired with all royal treatment and attention. She was typical here and there jumping and falling girl. And this too much respect and formalities was tiring her. She wished she had a husband who understood her, with whom she could share her uncomfortable condition. Who would hold her hand and give it a squeeze to make her feel comfortable. Who would carry her in his arm and take her away from this world of formality and show off. She shied, nothing such is happening here. Her own husband is a rule maker here. All these show and formality are his necessity and she was expected to abide. But in all this complain with her husband, she forgot, she was the one who have pushed her husband away. She has not given him any chance to show his care and concern towards her. She ignored that he was the one who was diligently abiding by the condition she has placed. Most husband won’t go this far to listen to his new bride’s wish, whom he did not even know.

She called Vikrant as Annie was nowhere to be seen. Annie was busy decorating their room for night. Viccky immediately presented himself at her service.

“Yes Bhabhi, anything you need”

“Please call me Geetanjali. I am fan girl of yours. But now married to your Raja saheb” he laughed at Fan girl thing of hers but then

“I am sorry to disobey you. But I can never ever do that. You are Raja Saheb’s wife, how can I call you by name.”

“Then I will have no friends here?” she said making face

“Off course, Annie and myself will be your friend here. But mind you, you will be the one to shoo us away”

“Why will I do so”

“Not now. When you fall for your Raja Saheb”

“I will never fall for him. Khaddos” she immediately placed her palm on her mouth. Uff she was talking to Raja Saheb’s younger brother

“No problem. These kind of bitching we can do. Me and Annie also keep cribbing on his strictness. You can join our gang” They laughed.

Then Geet was lead to Raja Saheb’s room. Later after some teasing they left her alone.

The rom has an exquisite feel. It had elegance and aura of its own. Whole palace was elegant but this room has its own power. She kind of felt timid, which brought even more denial from her

“Why have he got the room decorated when I am not ready for it. I am not staying in this room of his.” She was irked with him but seeing the power and authority that he held, she felt bit scared

“Maybe he wanted to feel superior to his wife and thus he married a commoner like me. But I am no less as he thinks. I am not bowing down to him in any case.”

She sat down “Ohh Gosh!! How am I going to lead an equal life with such mature and oldie type person? My whole freedom, my carefree life? No, I won’t let this happen. I will lead my life in my own way”

There was knock in the door. Her heart raced at the thought of him being at the door. There was hidden urge to know him. But then No. he is showing attitude and not talking to her, why should see. And No, she didn’t want to get influenced with him due to his power. She will meet him only when she is mentally ready for this relation

“Who is there?” She tried to sound strict but he could feel the girlish sound

“Geetanjali, it’s me? Can we talk?” her heart beat fast at his voice. But she went into denial

“Why? You said you will wait” she sounded like a child

“If you have anything in your mind we can talk.”

“I have nothing to say. Please arrange other room for me. I am not yet ready to…”

“You can stay in this room. I have made my arrangements” and he left.

Raja Saheb was in the other room. He conveyed Dadima to not force him anytime to talk to her unless she is ready for the relation

“Dadima, I have tons to handle and I have done more than I could to for this relation. Please don’t push me into it.”
